Baked Macaroni & Cheese #1

Preheat oven 350 degrees.

Cook and drain

  • 1/4 pound hot pork sausage

Cook in boiling salted water

  • 1/2 pound macaroni [ 1/2 box ]

In sauce pan over medium

  • 1/4 pound unsalted butter (melt)
  • 2 tablespoons flour

 Add to sauce pan and stir until cheese has been melted

  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 1/4 cup parsley that has been chopped with 2 cloves garlic
  • previously cooked sausage
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (grated)
  • 2 cups colby-jack cheese (grated)

Add and continue stirring for about 2 minutes

  • 2 cups milk

Combine cheese sauce with macaroni and place in baking dish.  Top with black pepper, Parmesan cheese, and bread crumbs (optional). Bake for approximately 45 minutes.
