Bow Tie (farfalle) Pasta

Cook 1 pound of bow-tie (farfelle) pasta according to directions.

After straining pasta, add…

  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes (or tomatoes and combination of other vegetables; I like broccoli). 
  • 1 stick unsalted butter 
  • 2 cups milk (or half & half; or white pasta sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon parsley (chopped)

Cook on high heat, stirring slowly until it starts to boil. Lower heat to medium and let simmer until thickens. Remove from heat and slowly add…
